Custom Order Policies
Cancellation & Refund
Because each of our products is handcrafted, perishable, and made to order, all sales are final and subject to the terms outlined here. Once a custom order has been confirmed and payment has been received, we are unable to offer refunds, returns, or exchanges. If you need to cancel a custom order, all cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and acknowledged by our team. Cancellations made at least 5 days (120 hours) prior to the scheduled pickup date may be eligible for store credit in the amount already paid. Store credit must be used within 3 months of the original order date. Cancellations made with less than 5 days’ notice will result in forfeiture of all payments and may require payment of any remaining balance if materials have been purchased or preparation has already begun. Due to the perishable nature of our products and the impact of last-minute cancellations on our schedule, we are unable to make exceptions to this policy.
Order Changes
Design, flavor, or quantity changes must be requested at least 7 days prior to your scheduled pickup date. Because of our baking schedule and ingredient sourcing, we’re unable to accommodate changes within 7 days of pickup. All change requests must be submitted in writing, either by email or in person, so we can ensure everything is handled accurately.
Pick-Up & Acceptance
Once your order has been picked up and signed for by you or a designated party, it is considered accepted as is. At the time of pick-up, we kindly ask that you review your order carefully, including spelling, colors, design, and overall appearance. Because each item is custom and handcrafted, refunds or store credits cannot be issued for concerns related to design, color variations, writing style, or artistic interpretation after the order has been accepted and has left the shop.
Product Care & Liability
We’ll provide guidance on how to properly transport and store your order to help it look its best. Once your items leave our shop, we are no longer responsible for any damage that may occur during transport, handling, or setup. This includes, but is not limited to, melting, smudging, cracking, collapsing, or shifting of decorative elements.
Flavor, Texture & Quality Concerns
Because taste is subjective, we are unable to offer refunds based on personal preference. If you believe there is a quality concern—such as underbaking or a foreign object—please contact us within 24 hours of pickup and return the remaining product to the shop for review. We will carefully evaluate the product and determine the appropriate resolution. If the concern is validated, we may offer partial store credit based on factors such as the amount of product returned, how quickly it is brought back, and the nature of the issue. Concerns reported more than 48 hours after pickup will not be eligible for review, and products that have been fully consumed cannot be considered for store credit.
Design Disclaimer
All of our products are handcrafted, and decorative finishes are subject to the artistic interpretation of our skilled decorators. We’re happy to use photos as inspiration; however, exact replication is not guaranteed. Our goal is always to create something beautiful and uniquely yours. Certain design elements may require additional fees, which will always be communicated in advance. Please note that final results may vary slightly due to factors such as technique, materials, color availability, and environmental conditions.
Rush Orders
We understand that sometimes plans come together quickly, and we’ll always do our best to accommodate last-minute orders when possible. Due to our production schedule and the handcrafted nature of our work, any order placed within 5 days of the pickup date is considered a rush order and is subject to the terms below. Rush orders are non-refundable and non-transferable once they have been placed, paid for, and confirmed. Because of the limited timeframe, design options may be more limited. We will always communicate what is possible and may offer alternative solutions to ensure the best result within the time available. Once a rush order is confirmed, preparation begins right away. This may include purchasing materials, reserving production time, and starting initial work. While we do our best to accommodate requests, changes submitted after the order is placed may not be possible or may result in additional charges. If a rush order includes added details that affect pricing—such as custom designs, characters, or specialty elements—those costs will be clearly communicated and must be approved before we proceed. If additional options are declined, we will adjust the design to align with the original budget and timeframe. By placing a rush order, you acknowledge these limitations and understand that flexibility and timely communication are essential. Refunds will not be issued for changes in design interpretation, pricing adjustments, or declined add-ons once a rush order is in progress.
Capacity & Order Limitations
As a small boutique bakery, we take on a limited number of orders each week—especially for weekends—to ensure every order receives the time, care, and attention it deserves. When your order is placed, we reserve production time and resources specifically for you, which may require us to turn away other requests. For this reason, all deposits and payments are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless the order qualifies for store credit under the terms outlined above.
Wedding Cake Deposits
Due to the planning and preparation involved in wedding cakes, all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. When your wedding order is booked, we reserve a significant amount of time, resources, and materials specifically for your event, and often turn away other custom orders for that date. Because of this, any cancellation—regardless of notice—will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
